Drugs in Food Production

People should protect their health, but pharmaceutical experts are agitating for healthier treatments.

It appears things have gone too far the direction of medication in many cases.

More and more drug residues are finding their way into our diets, in our water supplies, and in the foods we eat.

These residues includes drugs like antibiotics, birth control medications, anti-depressants, sex hormones and mood stabilizers.

Because they retain their own medicinal value, many of these drugs are flushed down the toilet along with the rest of our waste and we in turn get the drugs in our water supply.

The impact of drugs in our water supplies on our health has getting worse instead of improving.

While I amayaner was writing about the health issues,

I discovered many other interesting facts about medications that I wrote about in my previous article.

1. Medications are often given by doctors and dentists.

2. The most common medications are botulinum, mineftell, milninfax, and zorlacumbine.

3. Presently, 3.6 million Americans and 20 million people worldwide have serious health problems related to medications.

4. Some doctors areiders recommend their patients to take combination medications, unit medications, or pills instead of whole medications.

5. Children’s medications should not be taken for longer than two years.

It’s clear from these facts that drugs have a bad effect on our health and on the environment if not curtailed.

If you factor in the increased amount of diseases due to drugs that we have been losing through usage of antibiotics, small children are especially susceptible to infection and allergies.

While antibiotics were initially designed to help animals survive in the new harsh environment, we are now seeing the effect that they have on our food supply.

With the CDC and WHO sounding warnings, along with the increasing amount of cases of infections and diseases, it is clear that some steps must be taken to protect both ourselves and our food supply.

One option would be to curb the use of antibiotics in animal production and require that farms provide free range space for animals.

Another option would be to require all foods containing milk or meat to carry a statement labeling it “USDA Organic” and making consumers know it is organic would also help.

The push to make foods organic has already picked up steam. Next year, two bills will be introduced in the Congress aimed at requiring producers of organic foods to clearly labeled foods.

One bill, H.4613,

sponsored by Representative Frank Pallone of New Jersey, Jr. and designed to require such labeling for food producers, grandfathers in the existing law requiring producers to conform to rules for organic food production, processing and labeling. สล็อตเว็บตรง

Under current law, food producers are already required to follow safety standards and minimize the use of artificial fungicides, fertilizers, and pesticides. The bill would require these standards to be followed throughout food production and processing. It would also make it mandatory for producers to know the source of any agricultural products used in food products.

Another bill, the Organic Food Production Act of 2011, would also require that all edible herbs and spices be organic in origin. It would also ban irradiation of food. Currently, about 25 percent of all foods in the US include irradiation in their ingredients.

While these bills are unlikely to be passed by the US Congress, they are a concrete step in the right direction. The question is whether or not they will be successful in changing the culture of overuse of antibiotics in food production in order to truly benefit the American people. Something is changing in the way our food is grown. The question is what that is and will it be?
